Margaret River Gourmet Tour
Wary of bus tours and tourist traps? Enjoy our small group wine and food tour to smaller, boutique and
less commercial wineries....the 'Hidden Treasures' of Margaret River.
The tour is a 'Behind the Scenes' glimpse into the real Margaret River. It's more about touching, tasting,
expert commentary and answers to all the questions you've stored away - than just looking. We will walk
through the vineyards (enclosed shoes a must), discover the importance of vine management to the quality
of the final product, get close up to the winery operations, enjoy a private tasting in the wine cellar
with a delicious platter lunch - and that's all just the start.
Taking a break from wine, we'll pause for a quiet time at the beautiful Boranup Forest before we move on
to piping hot scones and coffee at Boranup Gallery café. The gallery includes the most stunning examples of
Western Australian native timber furniture we have ever seen and we feel sure you will be enthralled by this
extensive display of fine art.
On from Boranup to two more boutique wineries, both with stunning examples of Margaret River wines highly regarded by
James Halliday's Wine Companion. We have sought out little known wines that have strong Margaret River
characteristics and little market profile because of their size.
Our trip departs Margaret River at 11:00 am. Cost of $90 per person includes pickup from your accommodation
(if you are staying in Margaret River townsite). During the cooler months (May to October) we run the tour Saturday,
Monday and Wednesday. Sip, nibble and have fun exploring the unique flavours of Margaret River. It's a fun day for
food and wine lovers.
We offer discount freight on wine purchased during our tour, to any Australian destination. This convenient and
cost saving service allows you to put a few bottles from different wineries together into a single case throughout
the day. We send your wine through Australia Post. Ask us for details.
